ABOUT NeSDe
NeSDE (Network for the Study of Democracies) is a dedicated academic network focused on advancing the understanding and practice of democracy. Through multidisciplinary research, education, and public engagement, we contribute to national and global efforts to promote more inclusive, participatory, and resilient democratic systems.
Our history
NeSDE builds on the legacy of the Center for the Study of Democracies (CESDE) and the Observatory on Democracy in Northeast Italy (DANE). Our network continues the work of these institutions by focusing on the evolving nature of democracy in a global context.
Our team
NeSDE was founded by Marco Almagisti, Andrea Felicetti, and Paolo Graziano, bringing together a team of highly respected scholars from the University of Padova and other prominent academic institutions.
